Marble Countertop (대리석)

Advantages

– Enjoy natural texture

Disadvantage

– Hard to maintain.

– Marble is porous and requires regular sealing,

usually every 6 -12 months, to prevent staining and scratching.

– Stains easily

– Marble can stain from common

kitchen substances like wine, lemon, juice, and curry source.

 

 

Granite Countertop (화강암)

Advantage

– Affordable price

– Most common countertop

 

 

Corian Countertop (코리언)

Advantage

–  Does not require sealing : seamless

–  Scratches and dents can be sanded out and repolished

– Generally low cost

Disadvantage

– Commercially manufactured by Dupont in 1967.

(33% synthetic polymers and 66% natural materials)

– Not eco-friendly

– Limited color choices

 

 

 Quartz Countertop

Advantage

–  Engineered stone made from ground quartz, resins, and pigments.

–  Durable and easy to clean

– Resistant to scratches, moisture, and impact

– They can come in a wide range of colors, patterns, and finishes

(marble, granite, concrete, etc)

Disadvantage

– Not cheap.

– Can crack if exposed to sudden temperature changes or sustained heat.

Disadvantage

– Not cheap.

– Consistent upkeep
